About first_dwellings:

This is a community started by two people who are experiencing first time living on their own. We reside in the Pittsburgh area, thus the community mostly caters to that - however, we will try to incorporate as much help as we possibly can to people in other areas. We were interested in creating this community mainly because we were never given full information about how to do apartment searching, what to look for, where to get resources, etc. etc. etc. and so on and so forth.

Thus, we decided that we wanted to be as helpful for those people freshly starting out, as we are, and also give them a chance to help each other. We will answer as many questions as we possibly can, keep the memories and links and helpful communities list updated regularly to help you as much as possible, and we will try our best to keep this community fun and lively! For as much as we will try, we also need your help as members of the community. So stay active, and remember - you're helping others as much as others are helping you, ourselves included!
